英语与汉语都有方位和处所的表达方式。
英语方位介词以介词为核心，表达事物之间的方位关系。
in
表示“在......内部，在......里面”
如：What's in the box?
盒子里有什么？
on
表示“在某物的上面”，两者互相接触。
如：My book is on the desk.
我的书在桌子上。
under
表示“在某物的正下方”，两者之间不接触。
如：My ruler is under the chair.
我的尺子在椅子下。
between表示“在......之间”。
如：My picture is between the windows.
我的画在窗户之间。
beside
表示“在......旁边”。
如：The chair is beside the desk.
椅子在桌子旁边。
in front of表示“在......前面”
如：Where is the picture?
图画在哪儿？
It's in front of the door.
它在门前面。
behind
表示“在......后面”
如：Where is the football?
足球在哪儿？
It's behind the door.
它在门后面。
