1）在英语中，anything,something,nothing和everything是用于指事物的复合不定代词，与之相对应的复合不定代词anyone,someone,no one和everyone（anybody,somebody,nobody和everbod）用于指，与形容词连用时，形容词必置于复合不定代词之后，语法上称作“后置”：
I can see someone new in your class.
我看见我们班里有新人。
There's nothing interesting in the newspaper today.
今天的报纸里没有什么有趣的的内容。
2）something,someone与some一样常用于肯定句，而anything,anyone与any一样常用于否定句和疑问句。
不过，在表示请求、建议或征求意见的疑问句中常用some或something。
