Dear Bill,
How was your school trip yesterday? Did you go to the zoo? Did you take any photos? Did you see any interesting animals? I went to the zoo last year and it was a lot of fun.

Dear Jim,
My school trip was great! We had so much fun! We went to Green Park. We climbed the mountains there and saw a lot of flowers. We ate our lunch under some trees and played some games after that. But at about two o'clock, it got very cloudy and we worried it would rain. Luckily, it did not, and the sun came out again!

Grammar
一般过去时
构成：动词的过去式
用法：1、表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态。
2、表示过去经常或反复发生的动作。
常用时间：
yesterday
last night/week
in 1990
On Sunday morning
一般过去时：
1) My teacher told me what I should do.
（表示过去的行为）
2) I Was in Beijing before I came here.
（表示过去的状态）
1、动词be的变化
am、is-was are-were
2、助动词do的变化：
do-did（在过去时里助动词do没有人称和数的变化）
如：Did you play soccer yesterday?
Did he paly soccer yesterday?
3、实义动词的变化：
实义动词分规则变化和不规则变化。
规则变化有以下几种：
（1）一般情况下在动词后加-ed。
e.g. play-played
visit-visited
walk-walked
clean-cleaned
（2）以不发音的e结尾的词，在词尾加-d。
e.g. note-noted（注意，留意）
like-liked
dance-danced
name-named
（3）以一个元音加一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节结尾的单词，要先双写这个辅音字母，再加-ed。
e.g. stop-stopped
drop-dropped
plan-planned
规则动词-ed的读音
清念/t/，元浊/d/；/t//d/之后念/id/
说明：
1、清念/t/，即ed在清辅音后面念/t/。
例：finished helped passed cooked
2、元浊/d/，即ed在元音，浊辅音后面念/d/。
例：borrowed enjoyed called moved
3、/t//d/之后念/id/，即/t//d/音后面念/id/。
例：wanted shouted needed counted
句法结构
1、肯定形式：
主语+动词过去式+其他
She bought an umbrella because it rained suddenly.
因为突然下起雨来，她买了把伞。
The stars were so beautiful.
星星真漂亮。
2、否定形式：
1）was/were+not
2）在行为动词前加didn't，同时还原行为动词。
There wasn't Gift Shop here.
这里没有礼品店。
I didn't know you were so busy.
我不知道你这么忙。
3、一般疑问句
1）Did+主语+do+其他？
2）Was/Were+主语+do sth？
Did you have fun camping?
你的野营过得愉快吗？
