Young though/as he is,he is very rich. even though=even if 即使，纵然，尽管，虽然 as though=as if 仿佛...一样，好像...似的 以上用法用不能用although. a way of doing/to do 做某事的方法 She didn't know the best way of getting to/to get to places. insist v.坚持（认为），坚决主张 insist on/upon doing sth.坚决/坚持做某事，坚持认为 I insisted on /upon an early reply. The man insisted on finding a taxi for me even though I told him I lived neaby.(04江苏） 他们坚决要我留在那里吃饭。 They insisted on my staying there for supper. insist on多用于坚持意见，看法，主张等 stick to多用于坚持原则，计划，诺言，决定等（后不接动名词） 他答应过帮助我们，他没有失信。 He promised to help us and he stuck to his word. *insist+that 从句 ①“坚决主张，坚决要求”，从句中的事未发生，宾语从句用“(should)+动词原形” She insisted that she [should](go to Beijing by air)as it was more comfortable. ②“坚持说，强调说”，从句中的事已发生，用陈述语气，按要求选择时态 He insisted that he (was right).
